Kim Leoni

Kim Leoni is a young, charismatic, half Indonesian half Dutch performer currently living in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Thanks to her parents, Kim spent her childhood on three continents – Asia, Europe and North America. While living in Miami, Kim joined a dance troupe and gained experience dancing and performing in clubs throughout the state of Florida and beyond. Kim attributes her love for dance music to the percussive sounds of Indonesia, and her love of dancing and performing to the first dance steps she learned on the streets of Miami. In the Netherlands Kim found herself a target of interest of several modelling agencies, which led her to a short-lived career as a model. However, finding her initial modelling career unappealing and dull, she returned to her first love – music! By performing with a local pop band, she gathered her first studio experiences. In August 2006 she had a chance meeting with her current producers at a birthday party of a mutual friend. An impromptu singing performance by Kim led to the first collaboration: the song called ‘Again’ tells the impassionate tale of a stormy relationship - based on a true story!

After the success of ‘Again’, which crashed into the European and American charts and was nominated for the International Dance Music Award, Kim Leoni’s second single ‘Medicine’ became another chartbuster. ‘Medicine’ was released in 2008 and immediately entered the dj- and dance-charts, next to being the Dutch contender for the Euro Dance Contest 2008. Currently working on her first album, Kim Leoni is tipped by many music industry professionals to be the next big thing in the mainstream dance music in 2009!
