
Jordy Lishious
Jordy Lishious (real name Jordy van Oostveen) first got into the scene working at Freaky Records in Eindhoven. He then started DJing in some local clubs, and subsequently scored a residency in one of Holland’s biggest clubs, The Matrixx in Nijmegen. Jordy describes his music as “Dope & Dirty”, but a quick listen to his sets will tell you that he plays right across the board, from house to tech-house and through to minimal-influenced material.
Hardwell's imprint Revealed Recordings started off the year with another peaktimer release! Jordy Lishious 'Lump' keeps on building and going higher and higher before a massive bassdrop comes in! Tough beats and a rolling 'Lishious' groove are sure to create some dance floor dynamite you cant escape from! Already early support from Tiesto, Armin van Buuren, Marco V, Hardwell, David Vendetta. Lump got premiered on Radio 3FM this Saturday.
In May 2006 his debut production “Raw / Slick!” was snapped up by the Big and Dirty Label, peaking at number 3 in the official Dance Chart in Holland and was licensed to global superbrand Ministry Of Sound. The follow-up “Ooh La Lishious” under the guise of JayMen, reached number 18 in the official Dutch Top 40. The record was licensed to more than 12 labels around the globe.
The quality of Jordy’s productions have taken his career to the next level. Top labels are now taking notice, with Fedde le Grand’s Blackbird Recordings signing “1Up / Flapneck” and Black Hole Recordings’ Avanti imprint signing “Boiler / Tweaker”. Jordy has also remixed Prok & Fitch, Whelan & Di Scala, Lasgo, Don Diablo, Roog, Moguai, Erick E and Olav Basoski. These tracks have enjoyed widespread support by Tiesto, Fedde le Grand, Funkagenda, Sander Kleinenberg, Funkerman and Axwell.
As a DJ, Jordy has played the length and breadth of the Netherlands, headlining all the top clubs and consistently rocking sell out clubs with his unique brand of Dope & Dirty music. His interaction with the audience and technical skills on the decks has also led to headline bookings at major festivals and hot international gigs. Jordy’s own fortnightly podcast entitled “Dope & Dirty” is broadcast via Dance-Tunes.com. “Dope & Dirty” is also the name of Jordy’s club-night.
