DJ Luna

DJ Luna, real name Richard de Mildt, can easily be regarded as one of the leaders of the hardstyle scene. Already being rated one of the of most popular DJ’s in Netherlands, in 2003 Luna came fourth in the Top 100 of best dj’s in the world during the Dutch Dance Awards, overtaking big shots like Carl Cox, Dave Clarke and Sven Väth. A year later, in 2004, he even moved to the second place, which proved that Luna’s success was not temporarily.

Luna was born in Den Haag and moved to Sassenheim at the age of 3. After spending the first 21 years of his life there. he currently lives in Den Haag again. Shortly before the turn of the millennium he came incontact with Q-dance, the world’s leading dance-organisation for the harder styles of dance. Q-dance offered Luna an opportunity to play to the masses at events including Qlubtempo, Qlimax,HouseQlassics and Mysteryland. After some very successful performances at these events, it became clear that Luna is an up-and-coming star. Thanks to his impeccable track selection, his excellent technique, his unbelievable energy and his incredible enthusiasm behind the turntables, Luna knows how to work the crowd.

Now that Luna has established himself as a DJ, he spends more and more time in the studio. Sometimes alone, at other times with his partners Trilok and Chiren, he has been responsible for various dancefloor-destroyers. With his new label Minus Is More, Luna is working together with Cloud 9 Dance. With some brand new tracks about to be launched, much is to be expected from the master of Hardstyle!
